The Mora Valley

Victory Ranch is proud to be the largest alpaca ranch in the southwest.  We have nearly 200 head on 1,100 acres.  We pride our selves on the bloodlines of our excellent breeding stock, while raising them in a natural environment.  The natural lifestyle of our alpacas helps us keep our large herd healthy and strong year in and year out.

One of the ways we let our animals live a natural lifestyle is allowing them to roam the ranch rather than keeping them in small pens.  They get to run and play, and frolic in the fields.  Little do they know it also greatly reduces the chance of disease.

They dine on the natural grasses growing throughout the Mora Valley.  Their diet is supplemented with organic hay we grow on our 1,100 acres.  There are no fertilizers or pesticides used on our ranch.  All our animals' waste is composted and spread into our hay fields to augment our soil with the most nutrient rich soil enhancement around. The nutrient rich soil equates to nutrient rich hay which increases the vitality of our herd.  Composting also decreases the refuse we produce and helps counter the effects of global warming.

They are treated homeopathically, an entirely natural method of treatment that keeps our furry friends healthy.  The purpose of homeopathy is the restoration of the body to homeostasis, or healthy balance, which is its natural state. The symptoms of a disease are regarded as the body's own defensive attempt to correct its imbalance, rather than as enemies to be defeated. Symptoms are regarded as positive evidence of the body's inner intelligence, and a remedy  is designed to stimulate this internal curative process, rather than suppress the symptoms.

The happiness and health of our animals are our top priorities.  With the use of sustainable farming practices and homeopathy we are able to acheive both.  We are also able to decrease our carbon footprint and do our part to help out Mother Earth.

Ribbons and Awards

Our alpacas aren't just happy and healthy, they are also winners!  Our decorated herd of studs have won numerous national awards and blue ribbons.   They have won on the obstacle course which shows superior behavior and intelligence.  They have won for their exceptional conformation and fleece in the halter class.  Above all else, they have won for their fiber quality.  Which translates into our luxorious high quality fiber and yarn.

Our breeding program ensures the qualities of our award winning animals is past down from generation to generation.

Victory Ranch started their alpaca herd during the first decade of commercial alpaca raising in North America. We, the owners and the resident staff, are not just in business, but are also enthusiasts ready to help the small breeder with expertise as well as with stock. We will teach and train you in all aspects of raising and caring for alpacas. When you acquire an alpaca from Victory Ranch, our relationship is just beginning.

Sincerely,
