Size 13 (9 mm) Straight Knitting Needles

Similar Sized Cable Needle

Yarn Needle

Material:

Heavy Worsted Victory Ranch Millspun   (Approx 5 ozs)

Key:

S2F = Slip two stitches onto cable needle and hold to front

S2B = Slip two stitches onto cable needle and hold to back

To begin:

Cast on 40 stitches

Ruffle:

First Row: Knit two together for the whole row, you will end up with 20  stitches

Second Row:  Knit whole row

Begin Cable Pattern:

Row 1:  K3, P2, K4, P2, K4, P2, K3

Row 2:  K1, P2, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P2, P1

Row 3:  K3, P2, K4, P2, K4, P2, K3

Row 4:  K1, P2, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P2, P1

Row 5:  K3, P2, S2F, K2, K2C, P2, S2B, K2, K2C, P2, K3

Row 6:  K1, P2, K2, P4, K2, P4, K2, P2, P1

Repeat Cable Pattern until desired length

To end - Ruffle:

On an odd row:  Knit whole row

Next even row:  KFB whole row (you are knitting one stitch then adding a knit stitch). You will end up with 40 stitches (and your end ruffle).

Cast Off and hide ends with yarn needle
