2011 CLASS SCHEDULE
SPINNING 101-- To Be Announced
No time like the present to learn this 20,000 year old craft. Students will master the intricacies of carding and other fiber preparation methods, spinning on both the drop spindle and wheel, and producing beautiful yarns suitable for knitting, weaving, or crocheting. No previous experience. All materials are included and you will go home with an instructional DVD. $500- this includes room and meals at Victory Ranch.
WEAVING 101- - To Be Announced
Learn to warp a loom and weave several patterns. You will learn to weave on a floor or table loom in this comprehensive class. All materials are included and you will go home with an intructional book. $500- this includes room and meals at Victory Ranch.
Sign up for both consecutive spinning and weaving class for only $850.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Overnight accommodations are provided in our newly-remodeled adobe house. It is a bed and breakfast atmosphere with one shared bathroom. For those wishing more privacy, there is a clean, local motel minutes from Victory Alpaca Ranch. Please specify. Accommodations and meals at the ranch are included with the cost of the class. Rooms at the local motel are the responsibility of the participant. It is important to notify us of special needs--dietary, physical, etc.
Program participants will receive a 10% discount on all alpaca and fiber arts items at the Victory Ranch store. Students are always encouraged to bring their own wheels, carders, looms, etc.-even if you don't know how to use them. We'll show you! However, all materials are provided for all classes which is inclusive in the programs cost.
