1 ball Victory Ranch Bouclé (use what remains from making hat), 50 yards of Victory Ranch handspun

Needles & supplies:

Size 7 (4.5 mm) single point or circular click here to see our selection! unwaxed dental floss

Gauge

:

Cast on

(using the long tail method) 36 st over 2 needles to give an elastic edge.

Rows 1-25:

Work 25 rows knitting every row using Victory Ranch Bouclé (garter stitch).

Rows 25-14:

Change to Handspun yarn and knit 14 rows garter stitch.

To make place to pick up st for thumb:

over st already worked)

at the beginning of row 14 (not the working end andk6 (for a large thumb, k7) st with dental floss. Knit these st for 2 more(this makes it easier to undo the st when picking up for the thumb)

Row 15:

knit all st including the thumb st

Row 16-22:

knit all rows

Row 23-33

: change to Victory Ranch Bouclé and knit all rows

Bind off loosely all st.

Carefully pick out dental floss and pick up 6 (7) st, M1, pick 6 (7) st

Knit 7 rows with Victory Ranch Handspun. Change to Victory Ranch Bouclé and knit 3 rows.

Bind off loosely.

Sew side seam of thumb. Then close side seam of mitt changing yarn to match yarn used

for knitting. Darn in all ends. Fold cuff for mitt and sew button in center.

M1: pick up the bar between the

two st and twist to close hole,

on the knit round, k as usual

p: purl

st: stitch/stitches
