Enjoy hugging and feeding lovable Alpacas at Victory Ranch located on 1100 acres of the most spectacular scenery in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of Northern New Mexico.

Closed January thru March 15, 2009

The ranch and store will be closed for the month of January. Internet and phone orders will be filled. Alpaca sales by appointment. If no-one answers the phone, please leave a number and "best time" on the answering machine so we can call you back.

 

Feed the Alpacas Daily

Adults - $3 12 & under - $2 (includes feed)

Informational tours about Victory Ranch and alpacas are conducted daily at 11 am, 1pm, 3pm. A knowledgeable guide will accompany all tours. Questions and photos are encouraged. The tour includes a short walk on flat ground.

Directions to Victory Ranch

Victory Ranch is located just:

45 miles or 1¼ hours from Taos, New Mexico.

85 miles, 2 hours from Santa Fe, New Mexico.

252 miles, 4 hours from Amarillo, Texas.

Approximately 335 miles or 5 ½ hours from Denver, Colorado.

Driving Instructions

From Albuquerque and Santa Fe

Go north on I-25 to Las Vegas. Get off at University (exit 345) and turn left over the freeway to the first signal, at Grand Avenue. Turn right at Grand and proceed north to Mills. There is a signal there and an old Santa Fe steam engine on the north west corner. Turn left to the next signal. There is a Walgreens (NE), McDonalds (NW) and Taco Express (SW) at this corner. Turn right onto Hwy. 518 (7th St.) and proceed 29 miles to Mora. In the middle of Mora, turn right onto Hwy. 434. At this intersection are "The Lounge" (SW) and Tapetes de Lana (NE). The old St. Vrain Mill will be directly in front of you. Curve around the mill and Victory Ranch is on your left. The entry gate is at mile marker 1. (See printable directions.)

From Raton

Go south on I-25 to Wagon Mound. Get off at Hwy 120 (exit #387) and turn right. Proceed west about 22 miles to Ocate. Just after the Post Office turn left onto Hwy. 442. There is an old adobe on the southwest corner and a church shortly after. (Warning: If you miss the turn Hwy. 120 will change to a dirt road that goes to Black Lake and Angel Fire.) Proceed south on Hwy. 442 about 22 miles to La Cueva where it dead ends into Hwy. 518. Landmark at this junction is Salman Ranch and a large old adobe mill. Turn right on 518 for 7 miles into Mora. In the middle of Mora, turn right onto Hwy. 434. At this intersection are "The Lounge" (SW) and Tapetes de Lana (NE). The old St. Vrain Mill will be directly in front of you. From Amarillo

Proceed west on I-40 through Santa Rosa to Hwy 84 (Exit 256). Go north on 84 to Romeroville and get onto I-25 toward Las Vegas. From Taos

Go south on Hwy 68 to Ranchos de Taos. Turn left onto Hwy 518 toward Sipapu, Mora and Las Vegas. (Landmark: Trading Post Cafe and mall). Proceed 43 miles into Mora. In the middle of Mora, turn left onto Hwy. 434. At this intersection are "The Lounge" (SW) and Tapetes de Lana (NE). The old St. Vrain Mill will be directly in front of you.
